When we realized the way to get off the ship was for one of us to go overboard, I told Elijah to put me over. He'd dealt with death so recently and I couldn't let him do it. I had vampire blood in me when I died. I would have been dead on the ship deck without it. I'm not sure if you have had that talk with others about what that will do or not.
I haven't, but you don't have to be a genius to figure it out. Jesus, Kyle. What do you even expect me to say to any of that? I warned you about vampires all the way back when you first met Hayley and at least her I trust?

You are. Because what happens if they send you home? Right in the middle of a sunlit day? You know, I used to be worried that the city did something to you. Like it does to most people every month.
I have a daylight ring. That's what Elijah calls it. Long as I keep it on, I'm okay during sunlight. There's worst things than me being sent home in daylight. I just have to cope with every day as it comes, Alex. What else can I do?
I mean I thought that the city had done something to you. Made you fall in love or something, since it does that kind of thing sometimes. So, yeah, I was actually worried about you until I figured out that it wasn't the city. That it was just you.
